About DJ Charlie Rivera
BIOGRAPHY
- "Since I was young, music has been one of the most important part of my life. As a DJ, I'm dedicated to creating unforgettable experiences through unique and exciting mixes".
- Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Charlie Rivera began his professional career as a DJ in 1977 in a radio station Radio Disco 107.7 FM, then from 1979 to 1981 he became a main DJ in a Roller Skate Club called "Disco Patin" in SJ, PR. from 1981 to 1985 was main DJ at Stars Disco, Condado, PR, Discoteca Isadora, Rejeens, Studio 65 & Camelot. In 1984 was recruited in Bachelor (Light man & resident DJ) until 1991, from there & till 1992 Village Club. Next year 1992-1993 Lime Disco & Taboo. In 1993 to 1998 Lazer Videotheque (Also called Abbey's Club on Sundays). After that he retires from clubs & began to do privates events as Weddings, Corporates activities & more. In 2013 appears as a special guest in a mayor party call it "Bachelor Forever" at Caribe Hilton Hotel remembering Bachelor Club. 2014 co- star Bachelor Forever 2014 celebrating the 40th anniversary of Bachelor. He worked in a radio station Mix 107 FM on a Friday show called "Friday Mix" every Friday from 6pm to 12am from 2013 to 2014, also at Magic 97.3 FM, Play 96 96.5 FM & Waba Radio (Saturday “Forever 80s). He has performed at Before & After Hotel Marriott and has produced activities such as Espuma Party (Foam party) at the Radisson Ambassador; Just 70's Party at Code Bar and Lounge in 2014 and Just 70's The Party 2 in 2016 at Cemi Downtown Bar; in 2014 at Lenel Oldies, Code Bar and Lounge; Sombrero Party 1 at at Cidra Country Club; Sombrero Party 2 and Sunglasses Party at El Cemi Downton Bar; Sombrero Party 3 at Don Tony's Ocean Side Bar & Restaurant in Aguada; Party, Party Time - 30 Anniversary, Diner en Blanc PR, Super Heroes The Party, Just 70s One More Time, Super Heroes Party II, Free Wave Party (Freestyle & New Wave), Red Party, at The Bear Tavern and much more. He currently produces events, is the creator of the Internet Radio Station "Dancing Booth Radio", one of the very first stations to broadcast live with over 50 DJs from around the world & Facebook live for 240 consecutive hours, performs at privates & corporates events and was for 3 years the resident DJ at "The Bear Tavern". He currently works for Jorge Jover Events on Thursdays at Blue Dolphin Casino Hotel Embassy Suite in Dorado and on Fridays at Foxwood Casino Hotel San Juan, he's also main DJ every Saturdays at "El Purgatorio Bear Bar".
